Jesse James graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. Following his time as a student, he went on to have a successful career as an educator and football coach in Missouri and Texas. During his playing days as a Blue Tiger, James was the captain of the football team in 1946, while also being named a two-time All-American and All-Conference performer in 1946 and 1947. In addition to his time on the football field, James also spent time on the track team. He passed away in March 2008.
