Ezekiel "Zeke" Moore

Zeke Moore, a native of Tuskegee, Alabama, played football for Lincoln University from 1963–1966 under the leadership of Coach Dwight Reed. As a freshman, he was slotted as a halfback. In 1964, he was the leading scorer with ten touchdowns. In the game against Arkansas AM & N that year, Moore also had the longest pass interception (101 yards).

In 1966 he had six interceptions in nine games. In his last season with the Lincoln University
Blue Tigers, Moore served as a co-captain of the team and was a member of the squad which played in the Second Annual Gateway Classic Benefit Game against Tennessee A&I at Busch Stadium in November 1966. The Classic was sponsored by H.E.L.P. Inc.

In 1967, Moore was drafted by the AFL Houston Oilers in the 5th
round and was slotted as a defensive back. In his rookie season, he returned 14 kicks for 405 yards and won the AFL kickoff return title. Moore played for the AFL Oilers from 1967–1969 and for the NFL Houston Oilers from 1970–1977. He was selected for the AFL All Star and Pro Bowl games from 1970–1972. In 1975, he led the team in interceptions. Zeke Moore served a Houston Texans Ambassador for five years. In 1989, he was chosen by the fans as a member of the Houston Oilers 30th Anniversary Dream Team.
