INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
Odeshia Nanton has been selected as the first GLVC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week of 2025, the league office announced on Wednesday (March 26).
Nanton won the 400m hurdles at the Miner Invitational last weekend (March 21-22) with a time of 1:00.64. That time, a provisional qualifier into the NCAA Division II championships, leads the GLVC and is currently the third-quickest in Division II.
This is the first career athlete of the week award for Nanton as well as Lincoln's first GLVC Athlete of the Week honoree in the sport of outdoor track & field.
The Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team continues its season this weekend (March 28-29) in Fayette, Mo., as the Blue Tigers will compete in the CMU Invite, hosted by Central Methodist University.
