EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team recorded nine top-five finishes at the Cougar Classic, hosted by NCAA Division I Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Friday and Saturday (April 10-11).
Jeneail Henry was the runner-up of the 1500m after timing in at 4:46.14 while
Annalisa Barclay claimed second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.56m. In the long jump,
Kimeisha Francis (5.57m) claimed fourth while
Tonya Rawlins (5.40m) came in eighth. Francis also had a seventh-place showing in the high jump after posting a mark of 1.48m.
In the 800m,
Hannah Charles (2:18.63) and Henry (2:20.31) respectively took third and fourth.
Aaliyannah Anderson placed third in the 100m hurdles after clocking in at 14.08. Rawlins, meanwhile, took fifth in the 100m dash with a time of 11.99.
In the 400m,
Ezthia Maycock timed in at 56.74 to come in fourth place while Malika Countain took ninth in 58.64. Maycock, Anderson, Rawlins and
Alexis Summers teamed up in the 4x100m relay to place third in 46.21.Â
Up next for Lincoln is the Dewey Allgood Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T University in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday (April 18).
