FAYETTE, Mo. - The Lincoln women's and men's outdoor track & field teams combined to win eight events at the CMU Invite, hosted by Central Methodist University on Thursday and Friday (April 2-3).
Lincoln's women's 4x100m team won in 46.01 while the 4x400m relay team placed second with a time of 3:50.45.
Jeneail Henry won the 1500m in 4:46.26 while
Hannah Fatade (2:14.02) and
Hannah Charles (2:14.03) respectively took first and second in the 800m. Henry finished in eighth in the latter event after turning in a time of 2:21.09.
Odeshia Nanton took fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.57. In the 100m dash,
Tonya Rawlins (11.79) took third,
Aaliyannah Anderson (11.84) came in fourth and
Alexis Summers (12.08) finished in sixth. Meanwhile, in the 200m, Anderson (24.29) was the runner-up, Rawlins (24.46) checked in at third, Summers (25.08) placed fifth and
Ezthia Maycock (25.16) closed out the top-six.
Nanton took fourth in the 400m dash, timing in at 56.03, and Maycock (56.36) came in fifth while Malika Countain (58.79) placed eighth.Â
On the men's side, Lincoln won the 4x100m relay in 40.15.
Melon Lowenfield was the victor of the long jump with a leap of 7.09 while
Derick Robinson took eighth at 6.72.
Malik Drummond was the champion of the triple jump with a mark of 15.00m and
Dejone Raymond took third in the high jump after posting a height of 2.01m.
Brandon Harris was the winner of the 110m hurdles, timing in at 13.84, and
Rondino Dean, Jr. claimed seventh in 15.19.
Tajai Duffus won the 100m dash in 10.26,
Dervin Walker (10.54) took fifth,
Dimitri Beckford (10.68) placed sixth and
Rosean Smith (10.81) rounded out the top-seven finishers.Â
Joshua Dottin (53.67) took fourth in the 400m hurdles.
In the 200m, Duffus (21.19) claimed fourth place, Beckford (21.53) took seventh and
Dimetre Browne (21.54) claimed eighth. LU also did well in the 400m dash, with
Keano Charles (47.52) coming in third and
Donovan Bruce (47.82) placing sixth.
Lincoln's teams will next be in action on April 11 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
