JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Wednesday (March 12) that 10 members of Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams have earned all-region status.
Shaneal Clarke Giddings,
Shevanae Thomas,
Maria Diamond and
Shantae George were each honored for the women's 4x400m relay. George was additionally recognized in the 60m dash while Thomas was celebrated in the 400m.
The LU men's 4x400m relay team members -
Sharim Hamilton,
Reuben Nichols, Clinton Laguerre and
Emmanuel Rwotomiya - each received USTFCCCA All-Region recognition. Rwotomiya was also honored in the 400m.
Wesley Tyndall claimed all-region status in the long jump while
Malik Drummond was honored in the triple jump.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region receive USTFCCCA All-Region accolades, as do each member of the top-three relay squads from each region.Â
Lincoln's track & field teams compete in the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. on Friday and Saturday (March 14-15).
