The Blue Tigers host Drury that evening at 7:30 p.m. CDT, and the contest will be played at Capital City High due to a high number of other events happening over at Jefferson City High on Friday night. On Sunday (Sept. 22), Lincoln visits Bolivar, Mo. to face Southwest Baptist in a 2:30 p.m. CDT match.

FAST BREAKS
- Lincoln played its first three matches in a seven-day span and beat Lee, tied with Harris Stowe and fell to Missouri S&T.

- Drury played to a draw in its season opener but since has won three-straight, most recently winning at home against Missouri S&T, 1-0, on Sunday (Sept. 15).

- Drury received votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division II poll.

- SBU enters the weekend with a 2-1-2 record.

PREVIEWING THE BLUE TIGERS:  Vincent Osei has played all 270 minutes in goal and has made six saves while recording a shutout. Rajae Lawrence also has four shots and Eugeni Yague has attempted three.

HEAD COACH SAMMY SAMUELS:  A proven winner, Sammy Samuels is in his first season as the head coach of the Lincoln men's soccer team. Samuels coached 13 All-Americans and posted a 53-12-8 record during five seasons as the head coach at Maine-Fort Kent. During that span he won the 2022 USCAA national championship and finished as the national runner-up in both 2019 and 2021.

LAST TIME OUT
Lincoln 1, Lee 0
After a scoreless first half, Christopher Hull hit the game-winning shot at the 61:00 mark to give Lincoln a 1-0 victory over Lee in the Blue Tigers' first soccer match in over 20 years on Sept. 8. Both Ackeem Mullings and Shandee Brooks had shots on goal while Vincent Osei made three saves.

Lincoln 1, Harris Stowe 1
Hadri Lopez scored in the first 10 minutes of the contest, but Harris Stowe scored shortly before the half as the battle between Missouri's HBCUs ended in a 1-1 draw on Sept. 13. Vincent Osei had two saves and Eugeni Yague and Rajae Lawrence both attempted three shots. Guilherme Goncalves Capaldin had two shots on goal.

Missouri S&T 1, Lincoln 0
Lincoln was held to just one shot attempt as the Blue Tigers fell in their first GLVC contest of the season, 1-0, to Missouri S&T on Sunday (Sept. 15) in Rolla, Mo. Kevon Maitland had the shot for LU and Vincent Osei had two saves. The Miners were held to eight shots overall and Missouri S&T tried only three shots on goal.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS:  Drury has scored multiple goals in four of its five matches and six different Panther players have at least one goal on the year. Lucas Schofield leads the team with two goals while Joe Loughnane has one goal and a team-high three assists. ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:  After blanking Lee in Lincoln's first game in over 20 years, goalkeeper Vincent Osei was chosen as the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, making him the first player in 2024 to claim that honor. Osei made three saves in the shutout victory to give Lincoln a 1-0 start to the season.

ONE ON ONE:  Through the first three matches of the season, Lincoln has been tough defensively as the Blue Tigers have yet to allow more than one goal in a contest. The Blue Tigers' .667 goals against average is the second-best in the GLVC and ranks as the 26th-lowest in Division II. LU's goalkeeper, Vincent Osei, is ranked 31st in DII and second in the GLVC in goals against average.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE:  Lincoln has yet to trail in any of its home games, as the Blue Tigers won their home opener and scored first in their only other game in Jefferson City. LU plays its home games at Jefferson City High School, but, this week only, plays at Capital City High School.
