JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Nine members of Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams received 10 total All-American honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Five members of the LU women's team were honored.
Shevanae Thomas,
Shaneal Clarke Giddings,
Shantae George and
Odeshia Nanton each earned first team All-American distinction in the 4x400m relay.
Annalisa Barclay, meanwhile, was named second team All-American in the triple jump.
Four members of the Lincoln men's team were recognized, including
Leondre Francis, who earned multiple All-American awards. Francis,
Sharim Hamilton,
Shanthamoi Brown and Emmanuel Rwomotiya were each bestowed first team All-American honors for their performance in the 4x400m relay. Francis also was a second team All-American performer in the 400m.
Athletes who finish among the top-eight in an individual or relay event at the NCAA Division II championships earn first team All-American status. Athletes who finish between ninth and 12th in an individual or relay event are named second team All-Americans.
