Final Results
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln women's track & field team scored 85 points to finish in fourth place at the 2023 MIAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by LU at Dwight T. Reed Stadium from Friday through Saturday (May 5-7).
The Blue Tigers broke a 10-year-old MIAA record in the 4x100m relay, as the foursome of
Hughasia Fyffe,
Shenese Walker,
Monae Carey and
Jovanna Gustave won in 44.66. Lincoln also finished as the runner-up in the 4x400m relay, with the team of
Denita Jackson,
Maria Diamond,
Chrissani May and
Shantae George clocking in at 3:41.81.
Annalisa Barclay placed third in the triple jump (12.47m) and sixth in the long jump (5.81m) while
Nehlia Mills claimed fourth in the high jump (1.68m). In the 200m, Fyffe took second (23.90) and George came in eighth (24.37).
Diamond was the MIAA champion in the 400m hurdles, winning in 58.71, and
Sophia Myers took seventh in 1:11.33. Walker, meanwhile, was the victor in the 100m dash, timing in at 11.21. Gustave (11.45) and Fyffe (11.65) respectively came in sixth and seventh. LU claimed the second and third finishes in the 100m hurdles, with Myers clocking in at 13.57 and
Shanette Allison finishing in 13.67. Meanwhile, in the 400m dash, George placed sixth, timing in at 55.78.
