PUEBLO, Colo. - The Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team scored 31 points to finish in eighth place at the NCAA Division II Championship meet, held from Thursday through Saturday (May 25-27).
The squad of
Shantae George,
Shenese Walker,
Hughasia Fyffe and
Jovanna Gustave won the national title in the 4x100m relay, timing in at 44.20.
Annalisa Barclay, meanwhile, came in sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.68m.
Walker posted a third-place result in the 100m dash, posting a time of 11.10, and
Sophia Myers placed fifth in the 100m hurdles, clocking in at 13.44.
Wrapping up the scoring for LU was
Maria Diamond, who finished as the national runner-up in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.71.
