SEARCY, Ark. - Three members of the Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team and four from the LU men's team competed at the Harding Last Chance Meet, hosted by Harding University on Thursday (May 11).
Shenese Walker won the women's 200m, timing in at 24.11, and
Shantae George finished in second with a time of 24.64. In the women's high jump,
Nehlia Mills came in second with a mark of 1.59m.
Malik Drummond won the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.53m, and Wesley Tyndall claimed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.81m.
Shemar Fletcher clocked in at 23.21 to finish in third in the 200m, and also posted a seventh-place result in the 100m, timing in at 11.21. In the latter event,
Imar Tomlinson came in sixth with a time of 11.10.
Both Lincoln track & field teams will now wait to see how many entries each program will have in the upcoming NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in Pueblo, Colo. on May 25-27.
