TOPEKA, Kan. - Lincoln's men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed for the first in 2023 on Saturday (Jan. 21) at the Washburn Rust Buster, hosted by Washburn University.
Rashane Bartlett won the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 7.98, and
Malik Drummond was the champion of the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.86m. In the 600-yard, Daujaughn Murray captured second in 1:12.22 while
Kewani Campbell placed seventh in 1:12.79.
In the 4x400m relay, the foursome of Campbell, Murray,
Shanthamoi Brown and
Kevaughn Goldson timed in at 3:16.53 to finish in fourth place.
Jamar Treasure came in fifth in the 60m dash in 6.84, and Brown placed ninth in the 400m after clocking in at 50.18.
Dejone Raymond checked in at fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.95m.
Annalisa Barclay won the women's triple jump with a distance of 12.34m, and
Shevanae Thomas clocked in at 57.71 to take second in the 400m.
Shanette Allison finished third in the 60m hurdles in 8.70.
The team of
Shenese Walker,
Maria Diamond,
Nattesha Palmer and Thomas placed third in the 4x400m relay after finishing in 3:53.37. Diamond also turned in a fourth-place result in the mile, timing in at 5:18.61.
Hughasia Fyffe (7.60) placed fourth in the 60m dash while
Jovanna Gustave (7.92) came in eighth.
Denita Jackson took eighth in the 200m.
