JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced on Wednesday morning (March 3) that
Niyah Jackson, a sophomore on the Lincoln women's basketball team, has been named All-MIAA honorable mention.
Jackson finished 12th in the conference with 14.5 points per game, and scored in double figures in all but two of LU's contests in 2020-21. She also averaged 3.2 assists per game, the seventh-best mark in the MIAA, and was also seventh in the league with a .405 field goal percentage. Jackson accomplished this while playing more minutes than all but two other MIAA players, as her 761:41 minutes on the court were the fifth-most in NCAA Division II.
On the national level, Jackson finished 29th in DII with 126 made field goals, and her 71 assists were the 53rd-most by a Division II player. Jackson additionally averaged 4.1 rebounds and notched 34 steals, helping Lincoln finish the regular season ranked 13th in the country in rebounding and 34th in takeaways.
