WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Lincoln men's indoor track & field team recorded six top-five results at the UCM Invitational, hosted by Central Missouri on Friday (Jan. 22).
Shemar Fletcher was the runner-up of the 200m with a time of 23.08, and was followed in the top-10 by
Yardley Pierre-Louis (third, 23.24) and
Lijae Holness (eighth, 23.69). Fletcher also placed eighth in the preliminaries of the 60m after clocking in at 7.06.
Kizan David took sixth in the preliminaries (7.057) before taking fourth in the finals (7.02).
Pierre-Louis also claimed third in the 400m with a time of 52.51, and Holness came in ninth at 53.89. In the 600-yard,
Colby Jennings, Jr. took fourth in 1:15.19 and Kewani Campbell took eighth in 1:17.12.
Lincoln also turned in a runner-up result in the 4x400m relay, as the foursome of Pierre-Louis, Jennings, Campbell and Rashane Barlett timed in at 3:26.49.
The Blue Tigers will travel to Topeka, Kan. next Friday (Jan. 29) to compete in the Washburn Open, hosted by Washburn University.
