INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lincoln women's track & field team and the LU men's track & field team were both picked to finish third in the 2026 GLVC Outdoor Preseason Coaches Polls.
The Blue Tiger women, which finished as the runner-up at the 2025 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, received 144 total points to be picked third in 2026. Lincoln returns three GLVC champions:
Aaliyannah Anderson (100m hurdles),
Brittania Ingram (triple jump) and
Odeshia Nanton (400m hurdles). Indianapolis collected 10 first-place votes and garnered 166 total points to top the preseason rankings. Lewis received the other four first-place votes and collected 159 points overall to be chosen second while Southwest Baptist (127) and Missouri S&T (116) round out the preseason top-five.
The Lincoln men also took second at the 2026 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field championship meet before claiming ninth at the NCAA Division II championships. The Blue Tigers, who received 118 votes to be slotted third in the 2026 preseason poll, returns two athletes who won GLVC titles last season:
Tajai Duffus (100m & 200m) and
Malik Drummond (triple jump). Indianapolis topped the preseason poll with nine first-place votes and 140 total points while Lewis, which garnered four first-place votes, was chosen second with 136 points. Missouri S&T (109) and Southwest Baptist (102) close out the top-five.
