EMPORIA, Kan. -
Malik Drummond achieved All-American honors in the triple jump, highlighting the Lincoln men's and women's outdoor track & field teams' performances at the NCAA Division II Championship meet. The three-day event was hosted by Emporia State University from Thursday through Saturday (May 21-23).
Drummond came in seventh in the triple jump to take home a first team All-American award. Drummond posted a mark of 15.68 in both his third and sixth attempts.
Tajai Duffus finished 16th in the preliminaries of the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.65. The 4x400m relay team consisting of
Donovan Bruce,
Keano Charles,
Ryan Jackson and
Dimetre Browne placed 13th in the preliminaries after posting a time of 3:10.00.
On the women's side,
Odeshia Nanton timed in at 1:00.25 to take 13th in the 400m hurdles and
Aaliyannah Anderson clocked in at 14.04 to place 18th in the 100m hurdles. LU's 4x400m relay team of
Ezthia Maycock, Dayjonique Cato,
Quana Walker and Nanton finished in 3:39.04 and took ninth in the preliminaries to earn second team All-American status.
