INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The GLVC released its preseason indoor track & field coaches polls, and the Lincoln men tied for the third-most votes while the LU women were chosen fourth.

The Lincoln men's indoor track & field team, which finished in third place at the 2026 GLVC Championships, collected 116 points from the league's coaches to tie Missouri S&T for third in the preseason poll. Indianapolis, which won the conference championship in indoor track & field last season, topped the poll with 138 points and seven first-place votes. The Greyhounds barely edged out Lewis, which was chosen second with five first-place votes and 137 points overall. Missouri S&T received the final first-place vote.

On the women's side, the Blue Tigers, who took third at last year's GLVC championship meet, received one first-place vote and 139 points to be selected fourth in the preseason poll. Lewis, the runner-up last season, garnered 160 points and six first-place nods to top the poll. Defending champion Indianapolis received five first-place votes and 156 points to check in at second, followed by Southwest Baptist, which earned two first-place votes and 140 points.
