INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
Dimetre Browne became the first-ever Blue Tiger named GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Wednesday (April 1).
Browne won the long jump at the SBU Invitational last week (March 26-28) with a distance of 7.42m. That is a provisional-qualifying mark that leads the GLVC and ranks sixth in NCAA Division II.
This is the first athlete of the week award for Browne, who is the second member of the Lincoln men's track & field program to claim a field athlete of the week honor in 2025-26, following
Malik Drummond's win during the indoor season on Dec. 16. Browne is additionally the first Blue Tiger field athlete to win an outdoor athlete of the week award since April 9, 2019, when Ryan Brown was selected as the MIAA Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
The Blue Tigers will compete in the CMU Invite, hosted by Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. on Thursday and Friday (April 2-3).
