INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Lincoln University hurdler
Brandon Harris was named the GLVC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. The Great Lakes Valley Conference office announced the award on Thursday afternoon (March 26).
Competing against NCAA Division I competition, Harris had a stellar performance at the Jayhawk Spring Fling, hosted by the University of Kansas on Saturday (March 21). Harris won the 110m hurdles in 13.80 and was the runner-up in the 400m hurdles after clocking in at 51.80. Both times are provisional qualifiers that lead the GLVC and rank second in Division II.
This is the first career athlete of the week award for Harris, a freshman from St. Catherine, Jamaica. He's the first Blue Tiger to be named GLVC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week since
Emmanuel Rwotomiya claimed the honor on April 2, 2025.
The Blue Tigers travel to Bolivar, Mo. this week for the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Southwest Baptist University from March 26-28.
