INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced that Lincoln's Tajai Duffus is both the GLVC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year and the GLVC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.
Duffus was the GLVC champion in both the 100m and 200m at the conference outdoor championship meet, held in Romeoville, Ill. last Friday and Saturday (May 2-3). In the 100m, Duffus timed in at 10.44 while, in the 200m, he had the winning time of 21.20.
In addition to his individual victories, Duffus also helped Lincoln's 4x100m relay team earn All-GLVC honors. Duffus joined with
Wesley Tyndall,
Ryan Jackson and
Reuben Nichols to finish the race in 41.34, the second-fast mark at the championship meet.
The Lincoln men's track & field team is waiting to see how many entries it will have in the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, which will be held in Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24.
