JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Seven members of the Lincoln women's track & field team and seven members of the LU men's track & field program will compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, held in Pueblo, Colo. on May 22-24.
Shevanae Thomas will compete in four events, including both the women's 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay. Thomas was also invited to compete in the 400m dash and the 400m hurdles.
Shantae George was next for the Blue Tiger women with three invitations. George qualified in the 100m, the 200m and the 4x100m relay.
Odeshia Nanton will represent the Blue Tigers in the 400m hurdles and the 400m hurdles.
Aaliyannah Anderson, meanwhile, was invited in both the 4x100m relay and the 100m hurdles.
Shaneal Clarke Giddings was additionally selected for multiple events, as she will compete in the 800m and the 4x400m relay.
Britney Brown will round out the Blue Tigers in the 4x400m relay and
Denita Jackson was the fourth selected member of the 4x100m relay squad.
Three members of the Lincoln men's track & field qualified for nationals in multiple events, including
Sharim Hamilton and Clinton Laguerre, both of whom will compete in the 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. The other Blue Tigers competing in two events is
Reuben Nichols, as he was selected to run in both the 200m dash and the 400m dash.Â
Emmanuel Rwotomiya and
Leondre Francis were the other Blue Tigers selected to compete in the 4x400m relay. In the field events,
Malik Drummond was invited to compete in the triple jump while
Wesley Tyndall was selected in the long jump.
