INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After winning three events and helping the Lincoln men's track & field team win the GLVC Indoor Championship last weekend (March 1-2), sophomore
Emmanuel Rwotomiya was named the GLVC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
Rwotomiya won the 400m with a time of 47.99 and was the champion of the 200m after clocking in at 21.62. In the 4x400m relay, he teamed with
Sharim Hamilton, Clinton Laguerre and
Kewani Campbell to win in 3:17.70.
Earlier this season, Rwotomiya was named the GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 18 after a strong performance at the Nebraska Early Bird. On March 13-15, Rwotomiya will be in Indianapolis to compete in the 400m and the 4x400m relay at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
