BOLIVAR, Mo. - The Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team scored 114 points to place third at the GLVC Championship, hosted by Southwest Baptist University from Thursday through Saturday (April 30-May 2).
The team of
Donovan Bruce,
Keano Charles,
Ryan Jackson and
Dimetre Browne won the 4x400m relay in 3:11.74, breaking the meet record set by Lewis back in 2016. In the triple jump,
Malik Drummond broke the meet record with his winning distance of 15.32m.
Dejone Raymond was the runner-up with a distance of 14.83m.
LU also won the 4x100m relay, with the foursome of
Tajai Duffus,
Rosean Smith,
Dimitri Beckford and
Dervin Walker clocked in at 40.66.
Joshua Dottin was the victor of the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.24, and he took second in the 400m hurdles after clocking in at 52.29. In the latter event, Browne timed in at 1:00.29 to place eighth.
Smith was the champion in the 100m, clocking in at 10.41, and Duffus was the runner-up in 10.44. Raymond was the runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 2.08m, while, in the long jump, Browne (7.34) took second and
Derick Robinson (7.16m) claimed fourth.
Keano Charles checked in at third in the 200m (21.10) and placed third in the 400m (47.22). In the 400m, Bruce clocked in at 47.72 to finish in fifth. Meanwhile, in the 200m, Duffus took seventh with a time of 21.59.
