ROLLA, Mo. - Lincoln's men's and women's track & field teams posted 13 top-five results at the Dewey Allgood Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T on Saturday (April 18).
On the men's side,
Dimetre Browne won the long jump with a leap of 7.22m.
Janoe Richards was the runner-up after turning in a top distance of 7.13m, and
David Macklin came in 11th at 6.52m.
In the 200m,
Keano Charles posted the event's winning time of 21.24. Richards (22.16) and Browne (22.21) respectively claimed fifth and sixth, and
Ryan Jackson rounded out the top-10 with a time of 22.35. Jackson also finished third in the 400m after timing in at 50.28.
Browne was the runner-up of the 400m hurdles after clocking in at 54.66. Richards, meanwhile, finished eighth in the 100m after posting a time of 10.99. In the triple jump,
Malik Drummond (14.57m) took third,
Melon Lowenfield (13.50m) came in seventh and Macklin (13.22m) claimed ninth place.
On the women's side, Dayjonique Cato (56.87) and
Quana Walker (57.51) placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 400m. In the 200m, Walker (24.97) took third and Cato (25.37) came in fifth.
In the triple jump,
Annalisa Barclay closed out the top-three with a distance of 11.32m, and
Kimeisha Francis checked in at seventh with a mark of 10.67m. Shamar-Kaye Fable placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.21m. Francis, meanwhile, tied for seventh in the high jump at 1.45m.
Zoria Shields rounded out LU's top performances by taking 11th in the discus throw with a toss of 30.91m.
Lincoln will travel to Des Moines, Iowa next week for the Drake Relays, hosted by Drake University Thursday through Saturday (April 23-25).
