INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After setting one of the best marks in the league last weekend, Malik Drummond was selected as the GLVC Field Athlete of the Week. The league office announced the honor on Wednesday (April 15).

Drummond was the runner-up in the triple jump at the Cougar Classic with a distance of 15.22m. The distance leads the GLVC and ranks as the 10th-best in NCAA Division II. Drummond's performance helped the Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team finish second out of 12 teams at meet, hosted by Division I SIU-Edwardsville last Friday and Saturday (April 10-11).

This is the second career athlete of the week award for Drummond, who was named the GLVC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Dec. 16.

On Saturday (April 18), the Blue Tigers travel to Rolla, Mo. to compete in the Dewey Allgood Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T.
