JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Monday (March 17) that ten members of Lincoln's men's and women's indoor track & field teams have earned All-American honors.
Six members of the LU men's indoor track & field team earned All-American accolades, including
Emmanuel Rwotomiya, who received first team honors in both the 4x400m relay and the 400m. Joining Rwotomiya as All-American first team honorees on the 4x400m relay squad are
Leondre Francis,
Sharim Hamilton and
Reuben Nichols.
Wesley Tyndall notched All-American first team status after winning the national championship in the long jump. Malik Drummon rounded out the honorees from the Blue Tiger men's team by collecting All-American second team honors in the triple jump.
All four members of the Lincoln women's indoor 4x400m team, consisting of
Shantae George, Shaneal Clarke-Giddings,
Maria Diamond and
Shevanae Thomas, were named to the All-American first team after the squad won the national title in that event. George also received All-American first team accolades in the 60m dash.
To receive All-American first team status, a student-athlete must finish among the top-eight in an event at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. To earn All-American second team recognition, a student-athlete must finish between ninth and 12th in an event at the national championship meet.
Both Blue Tiger track & field teams travel to Rolla, Mo. on Friday and Saturday (March 21-22) to open the 2025 outdoor season at the Miner Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T.
