JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's soccer team opens play in the 2025 GLVC Championship tournament in its home city, as the Blue Tigers host Missouri S&T next Sunday (Nov. 9). The match, which will be held at Capital City High School, is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CST.
This is the first-ever trip to the GLVC Championship tournament for the Blue Tigers, who are in their second season in the conference. Tickets for the contest cost $10 and will be available at the main gate. Lincoln University students with valid student IDs will receive free admission. The match will also be streamed on the
GLVC Sports Network.
Lincoln, which last week was ranked No. 15 in the country in the United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, was the only unbeaten team in the GLVC this season, posting a regular season record of 10-0-6 and a league mark of 8-0-6. The Blue Tigers earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will host Missouri S&T, which went 9-5-3 overall and 7-5-2 in the GLVC to claim the No. 7 seed. The two teams played each other on Sept. 14, with Lincoln winning, 3-1.
If the Blue Tigers beat the Miners, they will advance to the GLVC Championship Semifinals, played at Creve Coeur Soccer Complex in St. Louis, Mo., where they would face the winner of the match between No. 3 McKendree and No. 6 Drury on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. CST.
