JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Division II Conference Commissioners released its 2025 All-Midwest Region team on Tuesday (Nov. 25) and announced the Lincoln forward
Kevon Maitland was named to the first team while defender
Adam Griffiths was a second team selection.
Maitland, the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-GLVC first team selection, led the league in total points (20) and tied for first with four game-winning goals, the 16th-most in NCAA Division II. In league matches, Maitland led the GLVC with eight goals and tied for third in assists with four. Maitland leads a Blue Tiger offense that is leading the GLVC and ranked 27th in the country in both points per game (6.0) and scoring offense (2.1).
Griffiths, an All-GLVC second team honoree, helped Lincoln post an undefeated regular season. Griffiths has three assists and has helped Lincoln lead the GLVC in goal differential (+20. the 24th-best in NCAA Division II) and post six total shutouts. The Blue Tigers, who are 12-1-6, have allowed opponents to score one goal or fewer in 13 contests this year.Â
Lincoln defeated Tiffin in a shootout last Sunday (Nov. 23) to advance to the third round of the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship, also known as the Sweet 16. The Blue Tigers travel to Claremore, Okla. to play Rogers State this Sunday (Nov. 30) at 2:00 p.m. CST.
