Blue Tigers Make NCAA Tourney Field, Host Tiffin on Sunday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - After finishing the regular season undefeated, the Lincoln men's soccer team earned the No. 3 seed in Super Region 3 and will play in the NCAA Division II Championship. The NCAA held its selection show and announced this year's field on Monday night (Nov. 17).

Lincoln received a first round BYE and will host Tiffin, the No. 6 seed in the region, at Capital City High School on Sunday (Nov. 23). Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CST.

The Blue Tigers went 10-0-6 during the regular season and beat Missouri S&T, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Championship before falling to McKendree in overtime during the semifinals. This is the first time ever that Lincoln will host an NCAA tournament soccer match. Tiffin, meanwhile, won the GMAC tournament and holds an overall record of 13-2-4.

More information about how to get tickets to the match as well as how to watch it online will be released later this week.
