CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State scored with just under nine minutes remaining to beat the Lincoln men's soccer team, 1-0, in the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 30).
The Blue Tigers, in just their second season back as a program, end their 2025 campaign in the Sweet 16 with a 12-2-6 record.
Lincoln finished with 20 shots compared to just 13 for Rogers State (14-3-5), but LU had only four shots on goal while the Hillcats had seven. The Blue Tigers held RSU to only three shots in the second half, but one of those opportunities, at the 81:34 mark of the contest, resulted in the only goal of the match.
Vincent Osei made six saves as Lincoln turned in its 15th performance of the season in which it allowed one or fewer goals.
Joseph Lozano had one of LU's shots on goal and led Lincoln with five total shots.
Makwe Nkoana and
Kanye Francis each had two total shots and one opportunity on the net while
Christopher Hull had Lincoln's other shot on goal.
Kevon Maitland had four shot attempts while
Santiago Brisco and
Rajae Lawrence each had two.
Junior Grizzelle and
Rajiv Gavin also had shot attempts.
