JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - After going undefeated in the regular season last year and making the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II tournament, the Lincoln men's soccer team was voted No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll. The Division II preseason top-25 poll was released on Tuesday (Aug. 4).

The Blue Tigers, who went 11-2-7 last season, are the second-highest ranked GLVC program behind No. 13 Rockhurst. Lincoln finished 8-0-6 in league play in 2025 and defeated Tiffin, ranked No. 25 in the 2026 preseason poll, at home in a shootout to advance to the Sweet 16.

Lincoln, which will host Missouri Baptist in an exhibition match at Dwight T. Reed Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7:00 p.m. CDT, officially kicks off its 2026 season on Aug. 27 with a road match at Saginaw Valley State.
