PITTSBURG, Kan. - Lincoln's men's and women's indoor track & field teams resumed the 2024-25 season on Friday (Jan. 24), with both teams excelling in the field events at Pittsburg State University's Rumble in the Jungle. The LU men took seventh with 27 points while the Blue Tiger women finished in 16th with six points.

Wesley Tyndall was the runner-up in the long jump, posting a distance of 7.27m, while Melon Lowenfield claimed third with a leap of 7.15m. In the triple jump, Malik Drummond came in third with a mark of 14.30m. Joshua Dottin placed fifth in the 60m hurdles, timing in at 8.15, and Dejone Raymond finished sixth in the high jump with a distance of 1.94m.

For the LU women, Brittania Ingram took third in the long jump with a leap of 5.39m.

Both teams will be in Topeka, Kan. next Friday and Saturday (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) to compete in the Washburn Open, hosted by Washburn University.
