SHAWNEE, Okla. - Lincoln women's and men's outdoor track & field teams combined to win six events at the OBU Last Chance, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist on Friday (May 10).
On the women's side,
Shaneal Clarke Giddings won the 400m with a time of 55.37 while
Denita Jackson came in third at 56.83. Jackson also took third in the 100m dash, clocking in at 12.57. Aaliyannah Anderson, meanwhile, won the 100m hurdles in 14.29.
On the men's side,
Emmanuel Rwotomiya was the victor of the 400m dash, timing in at 47.84, while
Donovan Bruce was the runner-up with a time of 49.57. In the 400m hurdles,
Kewani Campbell (54.52) and
Joshua Dottin (56.27) respectively placed third and fourth.
The foursome of
Sharim Hamilton, Rwotomiya, Bruce and Campbell wrapped up first place in the 4x400m relay after clocking in at 3:10.26. Dottin additionally placed second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.09.
In the long jump,
Melon Lowenfield was the champion with a distance of 7.23m and Dimetri Browne placed third with a leap of 6.43m. Meanwhile, in the triple jump,
Malik Drummond was the victor with a mark of 14.75m, Lowenfield (12.18m) was the runner-up and Browne (11.95m) rounded out the top-three.
