NORMAN, Okla. - The Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team compiled 10 top-10 finishes against NCAA Division I competition at the John Jacobs Invitational, hosted by the University of Oklahoma on Friday and Saturday (April 12-13).
Sharim Hamilton won the 400m hurdles in 52.88 and
Kewani Campbell was the runner-up in 52.89.
Shanthamoi Brown (54.61) came in fifth and
Joshua Dottin (57.69) placed 13th.
The foursome of
Emmanuel Rwotomiya, Hamilton, Campbell and
Reuben Nichols placed second in the 4x400m relay, timing in at 3:10.89. In the 4x100m relay, the team of Dimetri Browne,
Dimitri Beckford,
Davian Clarke and Nichols claimed third with a time of 41.46.
Dottin clocked in at 14.87 to take eighth in the 110m hurdle while Rwotomiya finished in 10th in the 400m dash with a time of 48.45. In the field events, Browne (7.35m) was the runner-up in the long jump while
Malik Drummond (14.58m) placed sixth in the triple jump.
Melon Lowenfield, meanwhile, placed sixth in the long jump (7.07m) and 11th in the triple jump (12.87m).
Up next for the Blue Tigers is the Kansas Relays, hosted by the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. on April 18-20, and the Dewey Allgood Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T University in Rolla, Mo. on April 20.
