Lincoln Finishes in 5th Place at the NCAA Championships

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team scored 34 points to finish in fifth place at the 2023 NCAA Division II Championships, held from Thursday through Saturday (May 25-27).

Troy Whyte won the national title in the 400m hurdles, winning the race in 49.79. Reuben Nichols, meanwhile, was the national runner-up in the 400m dash (46.01) and finished in seventh in the 200m (20.82).

The team of Nichols, Whyte, Shanthamoi Brown and Kewani Campbell claimed second in the 4x400m relay, timing in at 3:06.84. Whyte also scored points for LU in the 110m hurdles, taking third with a time of 13.49.
