PUEBLO, Colo. - The Lincoln women's and men's outdoor track & field teams combined to qualify four more finals entries on the second day of the NCAA Division II Championships on Friday (May 26).
The foursome of
Kewani Campbell,
Reuben Nichols,
Shanthamoi Brown and
Troy Whyte posted the second-fastest time of 3:08.11 in the 4x400m relay, qualifying for the finals in that event. In the women's event, the squad of
Denita Jackson,
Maria Diamond,
Sophia Myers and
Shantae George posted a second team All-American time of 3:45.32.
Whyte also qualified for the finals of the 110m hurdles, timing in at 13.78.
Rashane Bartlett also competed in that event, clocking in at 14.02. Meanwhile, in the women's 100m hurdles, Myers qualified for the finals in 13.70. Also racing in that event was
Shanette Allison, who posted a time of 13.98.
Reuben Nichols was the other Blue Tiger to qualify for an event final, as he finished the 200m in 20.64.
The Blue Tigers will conclude the 2023 NCAA Division II Championships with the third and final day on Saturday (May 27).
