Final Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team won four events in fields stacked with NCAA Division I athletes at the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by The Ohio State University on Friday and Saturday (April 21-22).
Troy Whyte swept both the hurdle events, winning the 110m race in 14.12 and the 400m event in 50.58. In the former event, Rashane Barrett was the runner-up, finishing in 14.19. Meanwhile, in the 400m hurdles,
Kewani Campbell (51.74) came in third and
Shanthamoi Brown (51.90) finished in fourth.
Lincoln athletes finished in four of the top-10 positions in the 400m dash, with
Reuben Nichols winning the race in 47.40.
Leondre Francis (48.96) came in sixth while
Kevaughn Goldson (49.12) placed seventh.
DauJaughn Murray took ninth, timing in at 49.26.
Nichols was also a part of LU's other victory, as he joined with Goldson, Brown and Murray to take the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:10.50. The foursome of
Donovan Bruce, Michael Cunningham, Campbell and Francis also placed in that event, clocking in at 3:18.62 to finish in fifth place.

Shemar Fletcher,
Imar Tomlinson and
Dimitri Beckford finished as the runner-up in the 4x100m relay after posting a time of 40.82. Meanwhile, in the triple jump,
Malik Drummond (14.34m) finished in second while
Jamir Hunt (12.79m) came in fifth.
Two more meets at NCAA Division I schools await the Blue Tigers next week, as LU will split time at both the Drake Relays (April 28-29), hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Rock Chalk Classic (April 29), hosted in Lawrence, Kan. by the University of Kansas.
