Blue Tigers Claim 32 All-Region Awards


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Members of Lincoln's men's and women's outdoor track & field teams combined to earn 32 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II All-Region Awards in the spring of 2022.

Eight members of the Lincoln men's team were honored, including Reuben Nichols, who led LU with four all-region honors. Nichols earned the distinction in the 200m and the 400m as well as by being a member of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Troy Whyte and Jamar Treasure, meanwhile, each received three all-region awards. Whyte was recognized in the 4x400m relay, the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles, while Treasure was an honoree in the 4x100m relay, the 100m and the 200m.

Three additional members of the Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team received multiple USTFCCCA All-Region Awards, including Kewani Campbell and Shanthamoi Brown, each of whom were honored in the 4x400m relay and the 400m hurdles. Kizan David and Shemar Fletcher rounded out LU's 4x100m relay honorees, with David additionally earning the nod in the long jump. In total, the Lincoln men received 17 USTFCCCA All-Region accolades.

Nine members of the Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team garnered all-region awards, led by Kelly-Ann Beckford and Maria Diamond, each of whom received three honors. Beckford was recognized in the 4x400m relay, the 800m and the 1500m, while Diamond earned accolades in the 4x400m relay, the 400m and the 400m hurdles. Chrissani May, who was also honored in the 800m, and Shevanae Thomas were the other members of LU's 4x400m squad recognized by the USTFCCCA.

Also earning multiple USTFCCCA All-Region Awards was Shanette Allison, who received the distinction in both the 100m hurdles and the 4x100m relay. Completing LU's 4x100m relay honorees were Shantae George, Monae Carey and Hughasia Fyffe. Sophia Myers, meanwhile, claimed the award in the 100m hurdles. In total, members of the Lincoln women's team combined to earn 15 all-region awards.

The top five individuals in each event from each NCAA Division II region earned USTFCCCA All-Region distinction, as did each member of the top-three relay teams.
