JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Nineteen members of Lincoln's men's and women's track & field teams have qualified to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, which will be held in Allendale, Mich. on May 26-28.
Kizan David and
Jamar Treasure will each represent LU's men's team in three events, with David qualifying in the long jump, the triple jump and the 4x100m relay. Treasure, meanwhile, was selected in the 100m, the 200m and the 4x100m relay. Rounding out the 4x100m squad are
Reuben Nichols, who wil also compete in the 400m, and
Shemar Fletcher.
Lincoln's 4x400m relay team also earned an invitation, with the foursome of
Troy Whyte,
Kewani Campbell,
Shanthamoi Brown and Kevaughn Goldson making up the unit. Whyte, Campbell and Brown will also each compete in the 400m hurdles.
Rashane Bartlett, meanwhile, was selected to compete in the 110m hurdles.
The LU women will have 10 athletes at the national championship meet, with five competing in multiple events.
Kelly-Ann Beckford and
Chrissani May will each compete in the 800m and the 4x400m relay, with
Maria Diamond and
Shevanae Thomas rounding out that relay squad. Diamond will also vie in the 400m hurdles while Thomas was additionally selected to compete in the 400m dash.
The foursome of
Shanette Allison,
Shantae George, Hughasia Fyffe and
Monae Carey will represent the Blue Tigers in the 4x100m relay, and Allison will also compete in the 100m hurdles. Sophia Myers was also selected for the 100m hurdles, and
Anna Barclay rounds out LU with her selection in the triple jump.
