LAWRENCE, Kan. - Lincoln's men's and women's outdoor track & field teams combined to post 16 top-10 results at the Rock Chalk Classic, hosted by the University of Kansas on Saturday (April 30).
Kewani Campbell won the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 52.16 while
Rashane Bartlett finished seventh in that event in 55.23. In the long jump,
Kizan David took third with a distance of 7.11m.
Reuben Nichols was the runner-up of the 200m, timing in at 21.27, and
Jamar Treasure placed fourth in 21.59. In the 400m dash,
DauJaughn Murray claimed sixth after clocking in at 49.93, and Kevaughn Goldson took 10th with a time of 50.25.Â
The LU women finished in second place in both the 4x100m (46.22) and 4x400m (3:41.56) relay events.
Anna Barclay, meanwhile, posted a 10th-place result in the long jump with a leap of 5.30.
Shanette Allison clocked in at 14.17 to take third in the 100m hurdles, with Sophia Myers coming in ninth at 14.76.
Chrissani May timed in at 2:10.24 to come in third in the 800m, and in the 100m,
Shantae George timed in at 11.92 to place sixth. George (25.01) also took sixth in the 200m while
Shevanae Thomas (25.23) placed eighth.
Up next for both Blue Tiger track & field teams are the MIAA Championships, hosted by Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan. this upcoming weekend (May 6-8).
