PITTSBURG, Kan. - Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams opened 2022 at the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State University on Friday (Jan. 21).
Kelly-Ann Beckford set a new meet record in the 800m, as she clocked a provisional-qualifying time of 2:12.17 to win the event.
Chrissani May placed sixth, timing in at 2:17.92. LU's 4x400m relay team took third in 3:53.88, and
Jameaka Mannings (58.25) and
Shevanae Thomas (58.26) respectively placed fourth and fifth in the 400m.
Anna Barclay claimed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.27m, and
Shanette Allison took sixth in the 60m with a time of 7.86. In the 200m,
Nehlia Mills (26.57) and
Shantae George (26.58) respectively came in eighth and ninth, and
Aliyah George finished 10th in the 600 yard at 1:35.59. The Lincoln women scored 34 points to take eighth place at the meet.
Lincoln's men's 4x400m relay team of
Shanthamoi Brown,
DauJaughn Murray,
Reuben Nichols and
Kewani Campbell claimed third place with a time of 3:17.46, and
Jamar Treasure took fourth in the 200m in 22.26. In the 400m, Nichols (49.37) came in sixth, Murray (49.98) placed ninth and
Shanthamoi Brown (50.02) rounded out the top-10.Â
Campbell timed in at 1:56.80 to finish eighth in the 800m. In the 600-yard, Kevaughn Goldson timed in at 1:15.68 to take sixth, and
Stavin Brown came in 10th with a time of 1:16.62. The Lincoln men scored 18 points and took ninth overall.
