JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team is back on the road this weekend to play Texas-Permian Basin in Midland, Texas at Grande Stadium in an exhibition game on Saturday (March 6) at 1:00 p.m. CST.

It's the second exhibition of the spring season for the Blue Tigers, who opened the 2021 season against Nicholls State on Feb. 19. Returner Desmond Hunter and newcomer Josh Cartwright split time under center, and Tori Hicks led the offense with 4.4 yards per carry and 137 yards of total offense. Vontavious Thacker supplied 62 tackles, including four for loss and a sack, and Quan Mason had five tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries.

UT-Permian Basin opened its spring exhibition slate on Feb. 27 with a 33-14 win over Southern Nazarene.
