LIBERTY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team allowed only seven points in the second half, but fell to William Jewell in its final game of 2025. A big first half propelled the Cardinals to a 49-13 win over the Blue Tigers on Saturday (Nov. 15).
Leonard Butler IV played a big role in Lincoln's first touchdown of the game, as he gained 49 yards on five carries to get the Blue Tigers into the red zone.
Donnie Trice-Jamison finished the drive, scoring on a 19-yard run on the final play of the third quarter. Lincoln (2-9, 0-8 GLVC) had one of its best rushing performances of the season, out-gaining William Jewell (3-8, 1-7 GLVC) on the ground, 253-180.
The Blue Tigers scored again on their next possession, with
Will King III opening the drive with a 20-yard run. King later had a 19-yard scamper before sprinting 41 yards into the end zone. King completed nine passes for 107 yards and gained 94 yards on the ground.
Tyson Bradden also completed a pass while
Jareese Howard ended the day with 66 yards on nine carries.
Tre Kelley (27 receiving yards),
Jaden Holloway (26) and
Marcus Harris (19) each caught two passes while
Max Rodriguez had a 16-yard grab.
Max Roth averaged 46 yards on punts and
Luka Sari averaged 65 yards on kickoffs.Â
Defensively,
Justin Hollingsworth blocked a kick and made three tackles while
Nathan Harden led the Blue Tigers with nine tackles and
Keshun Archie added six.
Chris Gonzalez had two tackles for loss, including a sack, and
Ke'Ron Blankumsee broke up two passes and intercepted a third.
Jeremiah Gill also broke up a pass and
Jordan Hoskins ended the day with five tackles, including one for a loss.
Renard Willis also had a tackle for loss and matched Gonzalez,
Devayne Johnson,
Donte Moore,
Osten Patterson and
Leroy Tellis with three tackles apiece.
