JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team wraps up its 2025 campaign on Saturday (Nov. 15) when the Blue Tigers visit Liberty, Mo. to play William Jewell at 1:00 p.m. CST. Both programs are 2-8 on the season and playing to end the year with a GLVC victory.
Jaylen Thomas has completed 94 passes for 1,284 yards over the past eight games and has thrown seven touchdown passes and rushed for another. His 417-yard performance against McKendree led to him being selected as the Quarter Phi Back Co-HBCU Quarterback of the Week. One of his top targets is
Marcus Harris, who has caught 35 passes for a team-high 772 yards and five touchdowns.
Jaden Holloway leads LU with 39 receptions and has gained 379 yards to go with three touchdowns.
Israel Tate, meanwhile, has 21 receptions. On the ground game,
Jareese Howard (467 yards, five touchdowns) and
JaDarrius Thomas (351 yards, three scores) are each averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
Jordan Hoskins (47 tackles),
Nathan Harden (45) and
Leroy Tellis (40) lead the LU defense in tackling.
Jacob McGhee has seven tackles for loss, including four sacks, and
Michael Allen has made six tackles for loss. Tellis has broken up six passes and intercepted two others while
Devayne Johnson has five tackles for loss and four hurries.
Donte Moore and
Dontonio Moore have each blocked kicks.
Justin Cooks had an electrifying 83-yard kick return for a touchdown in Lincoln's win at Lane and leads LU's returners with 337 yards. Holloway averages 14.8 yards on punt returns and 18.2 yards on kickoff returns.
Max Roth has had four 50-yard punts and has forced 12 of his kicks to result in a fair catch.
Luka Sari, meanwhile, averages 63.1 yards on kickoffs and has made four field goals.
