Kizan David,
Renea Ambersley and
Diana Cauldwell have been selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District first team. CoSIDA announced the honors, which were voted upon by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America in each district, on Tuesday (May 28).
David, a sophomore computer information systems major with a 3.88 grade point average, earned multiple All-American awards at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships after taking third in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump. David, who was the runner-up in the long jump and won a title in the 4x100m relay at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, also was the national runner-up in the long jump during indoor season.
Ambersley, a senior wellness major with a 3.51 cumulative average, helped Lincoln win its second-straight NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship over the weekend. Ambersley won national titles in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, and was the national runner-up in the 400m. During indoor season, Ambersley helped Lincoln win a national title in the 4x400m relay with the fastest time ever recorded in Division II. A six-time All-American this year, Ambersley was the MIAA champion in the 400m during the 2019 indoor season.
Cauldwell, a senior wellness major who graduated this May with a 3.64 grade point average, helped lead Lincoln to a third place finish at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship. Cauldwell earned All-American honors in both the long jump and the triple jump, and won the triple jump while finishing as the runner-up in the long jump at the MIAA Championships.
With their selections to the all-district first team, David, Ambersley and Cauldwell will now be eligible for the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American team, which will be released later this year.
