JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Thirteen Blue Tigers will represent Lincoln's track & field teams in 16 events at the 2019 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, which will be hosted by Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. on March 8-9.
The Blue Tiger women, currently ranked No. 3 in the country, will have seven athletes competing in 10 events at the national meet, with
Renea Ambersley representing LU in the 200m, 400m and the 4x400m relay. Ambersley will be joined in the relay by
Kissi-Ann Brown,
Shanice Clarke and
Christine Moss, with Brown also invited to compete in the 400m. Moss, meanwhile, was additionally selected to run in the 200m.
Rene Medley and
Diana Cauldwell will also compete in multiple events, with Medley racing in both the 60m and the 200m. Cauldwell, meanwhile, will participate in both the long jump and the triple jump, with
Rusheda Blake joining her in the latter event.
The LU men are No. 10 in the national rankings, and will have six athletes at the national championship meet. That includes both
Ryan Brown and
Kizan David, who were each selected to compete in the long jump and the triple jump.
Raymone Campbell will also participate in multiple events, as he will race in both the 200m and the 4x400m relay, where he will be joined by
Tyrese Halls, Mohammed Kouyate and
Ouekie Wright.
