INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lincoln women's track & field team scored 101 points to finish in third place at the GLVC Indoor Championship, hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28-March 1).
The Blue Tigers clocked in at 3:51.63 to win the 4x400m relay, and
Aaliyannah Anderson won the 60m hurdles with a meet record time of 8.49.Â
Calah McDonald checked in at fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.56. In the triple jump,
Annalisa Barclay (11.42m) came in fourth and Britannia Ingram (11.30m) took fifth.
Kimeisha Francis took sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.43m, and Barclay placed eighth with a distance of 5.38m.
In the 200m, three Blue Tigers finished among the top-seven. Anderson (24.86) and
Alexis Summers (25.32) took fourth and fifth, respectively, while
Tonya Rawlins (25.57) took seventh. Meanwhile, in the 60m dash, Rawlins (7.60) was the runner-up, Anderson (7.65) came in third and Summers (7.73) took sixth. In the 400m,
Quana Walker (57.61) and
Maria Diamond (58.32) respectively placed fourth and fifth.
Lincoln also had an exceptional showing in the 800m, as three Blue Tigers finished among the top-five. Diamond (2:18.09) was the runner-up,
Hannah Fatade (2:18.10) took third and
Hannah Charles (2:19.00) rounded out the top-five. Meanwhile, in the mile,
Jeneail Henry clocked in at 5:10.75 to take fifth place. LU additionally claimed fifth in the distance medley after timing in at 12:23.21.
The Blue Tigers will now wait to learn how many entries they will have in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in Virginia Beach, Va. on March 13-14.
