MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Lincoln men's indoor track & field team racked up 10 top-10 finishes at the Bearcat Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 6-7).Â
Malik Drummond won the triple jump with a distance of 15.15m while
David Macklin claimed 10th at 13.63m.
Dejone Raymond was the runner-up of the high jump, posting a height of 2.06m, while, in the long jump, Dimetri Browne (7.15m) and
Melon Lowenfield (6.97m) respectively placed third and fifth.
In the invitational portion of the 400m,
Keano Charles placed sixth after timing in at 48.45. In the non-invitational 400m,
Ryan Jackson finished in 11th at 49.52.
Brandon Harris placed fourth in the 60m hurdles after clocking in at 8.04, and
Joshua Dottin finished in sixth in that event at 8.23. In the 200m,
Tajai Duffus (21.90) took ninth and
Dimitri Beckford (21.97) finished in 11th.
The Blue Tigers also had a strong showing in the 4x400m relay. The foursome of Harris, Charles,
Kevaughn Goldson and
Donovan Bruce combined to time in at 3:16.02, the fourth-fastest in that event.
Lincoln heads to Pittsburg, Kan. next weekend for the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State University on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 13-14).
