Odeshia Nanton won the high jump, highlighting Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams' performance at the WU Open, hosted by Washburn University on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 30-31).
Nanton took the crown in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m while
Calah McDonald was the runner-up at 1.55m. In the long jump, Kimesha Francis took seventh with a leap of 5.54m. while Britannia Ingram finished in ninth at 5.53m.
In the 60m hurdles, Aliyannah Anderson claimed fourth place after timing in at 8.57. Nanton finished eighth in the 400m, clocking in at 56.70, while Ingram took eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.53m.
On the men's side,
Melon Lowenfield took sixth in the long jump with a leap of 7.04m. Malik Drummon took sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.60m. In the high jump,
Dejone Raymond finished in eighth with a height of 2.04m.
