THE KICKOFF
The Lincoln football team, enjoying its best start to a season in over 25 years, opens its GLVC slate on Saturday night (Sept. 20) by hosting Quincy at 6:30 p.m. CDT. The Blue Tigers are 2-0 on the year after beating Lincoln (CA), 55-6, at home on Aug. 30 and defeating Lane on the road, 27-15, on Sept. 6. This is LU's first 2-0 start to a season since 1972.

Quincy enters the weekend with a 1-1 record and is also playing its first GLVC game of the season. The Hawks opened 2025 at home with a 38-7 win over Concordia-St. Paul on Aug. 28. Quincy then started a three-game road trip on Sept. 6 by falling to Roosevelt, 23-21, in a very close contest. Quincy finishes the month with road games at Lincoln and Wayne State.

The Blue Tigers are playing their second home game and their second night contest of the season on Saturday. A win would give LU a 3-0 start for the time since beginning 1972 with a 5-0 record.

QUICK HITS
- Quincy and Lincoln meet for the seventh time in a series that dates back to 2014. The Hawks lead the series, 5-1.
